Omega Engineering’s extensive
product line has been expanded with
several new measurement and control
products. Some of its more recent introductions include the MWTC series
of wireless thermocouple connectors,
the DFG21 digital force gauge, the
FSW-9000 liquid flow transmitter and
switch series, the HHB1500 series of
video borescope systems and the
PSW2000 electronic pressure switch
with LED display.
Located in Stamford, Connecticut,
U.S.A., Omega Engineering sells its entire product range on its website at
www.omega. com. Its line is divided
into test and measurement, process
control, environmental, power monitoring, lab equipment, automation,
wireless transmitters and receivers, and
sanitary sensor products categories.
Sold under the wireless transmitters,
receivers, meters and controllers category is the new MWTC series of wireless thermocouple connectors, which
are available in standard J, K, T, E, R, S,
B, C or N type calibration. Each battery-powered connector transmits temperature readings, signal strength and bat-
tery status to a USB receiver up to 300
ft. (91.4 m) away. Readings are displayed on a PC screen in real time using the provided software for data logging and chart recording. The
connectors are packaged with
a thermocouple sensor and
battery and are FCC, Industry
Canada and CE certified,
Omega said. The units have
application in labs and industrial automation.
Designed for applications
where users need to measure basic peak force, the
new DFG21 digital force
gauge measures loads in
ozf, gf, lbf, kgf and Newtons. Results are displayed
on a high-resolution dot
matrix LCD screen in
English, Spanish, French,
German, Portuguese and
Chinese. The gauge supports normal and peak
readings and is available in
four capacities ( 10, 50, 100 and 200
lb.ft. [ 13. 5, 68, 136 and 271 Nm])
with a measurement accuracy greater
than 0.5% full scale, Omega
said. It operates using two 9
Vdc alkaline batteries or the universal battery eliminator. It is CE
