Individual filling this position will need very strong mechanical skills and experience in all facets of gas compressor skids and components to be the primary instructor for the Natural Gas Compressor Technology courses.
Instructor will work with industry vendors and gas compression industry to refine curriculum and course content.
Responsibilities: Responsible for program training, material development, preparation and delivery of classes. Instructional responsibilities include course outline development and instruction; including such topics as
safety, environmental procedures/hazards, management and assessment and hands on technical training.
Other responsibilities are recruitment of students, student advisement, and taking an active role in college committees. Travel is required several times per year. Work schedule is forty ( 40) hours per week.
Qualifications: A high school education or GED, Associate's Degree preferred. Five years to ten years of similar or
related experience with equipment and procedures in the natural gas industry.

for teaching courses related to their education or industry. Adjunct faculty support full-time faculty to teach
courses hosted at non-conventional times (nights and
weekends), or for courses that are unique to industry.
Adjunct faculty require a minimum of an associate’s
degree and three years of industry experience. Some
exceptions can be made.
The Lone Star College System is the former North
Harris Montgomery Community College District. The
Lone Star College System consists of six main colleges
and seven satellite campuses throughout its 1400-square-
mile district. Lone Star College-CyFair was built in 2003
as a response to the needs of the growing residential and
industrial communities of northwest Harris County.
The Industrial Maintenance Technology Program of
Lone Star College-CyFair (Cypress, Texas, U. S.A.) is seeking equipment and educational materials to use as instructional aids. Any type of equipment, new or used, will be
greatly appreciated – small pumps, hydraulic cylinders and
components, seals, bearings, gearboxes, compressors,
engines, rigging equipment, hand tools, etc. Educational
materials include photos, drawings, digital images, posters,
video, and literature – anything students can utilize to gain
a well rounded view of today’s technology.
